Cannabinoid Research: CBD, CBG, CBN and THC

Where the evidence is strongest, where it is still emerging, and how True Wellness supports physicians with documented composition rather than promises.

Strong evidence

CBD has the most robust evidence base among phytocannabinoids, particularly in specific epilepsy syndromes, where controlled studies showed a reduction in seizure frequency. Cannabinoid combinations with THC have been studied for spasticity and neuropathic pain in multiple sclerosis, and THC for chemotherapy-induced nausea and appetite stimulation.

Emerging evidence

Anxiety, sleep disturbances, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s and autism spectrum disorder have a growing body of clinical and observational research, with promising but still heterogeneous results. Dose, formulation and study design vary widely, which is why individualized protocols and monitoring matter.

Preclinical stage

CBG and CBN are mostly at the preclinical stage. CBG is studied for antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and gastrointestinal activity; CBN for sleep and analgesia. Early results support continued research, and both are offered in the portfolio as options within supervised protocols.

How to read the evidence

  • Distinguish controlled trials from case series and animal studies.
  • Check the cannabinoid, dose and spectrum used; results do not transfer automatically between products.
  • Prefer sources that report composition from a Certificate of Analysis.

Our commitment

True Wellness does not make treatment claims. We provide physicians with the cannabinoid profile, COA and dosing references of every product, and support the patient throughout the protocol. Ask our team for the technical material with evidence by indication.
